CNAME Records in Web Hosting
If you have a web hosting plan from our company and you wish to set up a CNAME record, it will take you just a few mouse clicks to make it happen. You can access the DNS records for all domains and subdomains hosted in your account through the Hepsia CP included with each plan and adding a new record is as easy as clicking on a button, selecting the type, which is CNAME in this case, inputting the actual record value and saving the modification. If you have never added such a record before, you will find a Help section with a detailed video tutorial you can watch, or you can simply contact us and we will help you with this task. If you have built a site through another provider, you want to use a private URL for your webmail or you would like to designate a subdomain for use with the services of a different company, for instance Google Apps, all it takes is setting up a CNAME record with a couple of clicks inside your CP.
CNAME Records in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you have a semi-dedicated server with our company and you wish to create a CNAME record, it requires just a couple of mouse clicks to complete this task. The plans are handled through our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel where you will discover a section devoted to the DNS records of the domain addresses and subdomains hosted within the account. To set up a CNAME record, you'll simply have to select the record type and the hostname (domain or subdomain), type where the latter is going to be forwarded to and save the modification. The new record is going to be active almost right away in our system and will propagate worldwide within a couple of hours. Changing or deleting an existing CNAME record within the account is just as simple and easy and takes a click. If you experience any troubles, you can go through our comprehensive help article, see the short video on the subject that we have added in the Control Panel, or you can just contact us for help.
