PHP 4, PHP 5 and PHP 7 Support in Web Hosting
With our Linux web hosting packages, you’ll be able to select the PHP version that will be active for your hosting account, as multiple versions are activated on our servers. With as little as one click of the mouse, you’ll be able to switch between PHP 4, 5, 7 and whenever a new version is launched in the future, we’ll add it to the Hepsia Control Panel without removing the older ones. In this way, you will be able to host all the sites that you’ve created through the years. In contrast to many other hosting vendors, we will not compel you to update such sites, because a script may be outdated, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that it is vulnerable as you may have implemented modifications to its code to fill security gaps. For the sake of your convenience, you’ll even be able to choose a different PHP version for each individual website that you host in your hosting account.
PHP 4, PHP 5 and PHP 7 Support in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Even in case your sites were built with an earlier version of PHP, you’ll be able to host them in a semi-dedicated server account from us, as we support several versions running at the same time on our semi-dedicated servers and each one of them can be activated for your account with no more than one click of the mouse via our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel. Aside from the most recent PHP 7, we also support 5.2, 5.3 and the older PHP 4, which has already been abandoned by most hosting companies, but we strongly believe that you shouldn’t be compelled to modify a site that took years to set up, as older script language syntax doesn’t necessarily suggest security vulnerabilities. Quite the opposite, a rightly maintained website using PHP 4 can be more reliable than a badly maintained one using PHP 5. For your convenience’s sake, we’ll also offer you the opportunity to pick a different version for each website within your account.
